Description
Valentino De Zorzi was a carpenter and became a self-taugh violin marker.
He used a highly recognisable personal model with Stainer and used many traditions of the classical Tuscan School. He used framed bran and local wood in the style of Gabrielli. He invented a large instrument called ‘the contraviolino’.
His work was passed on by his pupil Silvio Vezio Paoletti after he died.
